On November 1, 2020, at approximately 10:58 p.m., Mobile police responded to a shooting at the 2600 block of Farnell Drive. Upon arrival, they discovered 41-year-old April "Pretty Black" Ruggs inside her residence with a gunshot wound. She was transported to the hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries the following day, November 2, 2020.
