On May 30, 2021, 23-year-old Kortnei Kelvontae Mills was fatally shot at the Legacy at Country Club Apartments in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Officers responded to the scene around 3:14 p.m. and discovered Mills deceased in an outdoor area of the complex.
