On July 3, 2021, at approximately 10:37 p.m., Geneva County deputies responded to a shooting at 3957 Gopher Ridge Road in Samson, Alabama. Upon arrival, they discovered 29-year-old Alberto Guerra Jr. lying in the yard, deceased from a single gunshot wound to his left torso. Geneva County Coroner Donny Adkison pronounced Guerra dead at the scene.
