On July 9, 2021, at approximately 10:21 a.m., Mobile Police officers responded to a shooting at Avalon Apartments on Michael Boulevard in Mobile, Alabama. Upon arrival, they discovered 24-year-old Jasmine Laannastasha Pettway suffering from a gunshot wound; she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Following a two-week investigation, authorities arrested 23-year-old Darrin Sanders Jr. on July 25, 2021, charging him with domestic violence and murder in connection with Pettway's death. Sande ...Read More
