On the warm summer night of July 28, 2021, the life of 25-year-old Kashea Green, an African American woman, was tragically cut short in Montgomery, Alabama. At approximately 10:40 p.m. in the 1800 block of Rosa Parks Avenue, a burst of gunfire shattered the evening's calm. When the Montgomery Police Department arrived at the scene, they found Ms. Green with multiple gunshot wounds; she was pronounced dead at the scene.
