In the late summer of 2021, the life of a young man was tragically cut short in Decatur, Alabama. Braylin Dewayne Jones, a 15-year-old Black male, died on August 3, 2021, in what was determined to be an accidental shooting. The incident unfolded in the 400 block of Pine Avenue SW, where Jones was present with other juveniles.
