In the early evening of May 29, 2013, a grim discovery was made behind a residence in Northwest Washington, D.C. Twenty-year-old Nathaniel Nugent, a Black male, was found unconscious, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The incident occurred in the 5300 block of 14th Street NW, where authorities were called to the scene at approximately 6:00 p.m. Despite the arrival of emergency services, Mr. Nugent was pronounced dead at the scene.
