On April 23, 2022, at approximately 3:28 p.m., the Eufaula Police Department received multiple 911 calls reporting gunshots near South Randolph Avenue in Eufaula, Alabama. Upon arrival, officers discovered 22-year-old Devonte Barnett suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body. He was transported to Medical Center Barbour, where he was pronounced dead.
