On August 6, 2022, 26-year-old Christopher Thomas of Montgomery, Alabama, was fatally shot in the 2600 block of Zelda Road, near the Ann Street intersection. The incident occurred on a Saturday afternoon, prompting an immediate investigation by local authorities.
