On December 31, 2022, at approximately 11:14 p.m., a shooting occurred in the 200 block of Dauphin Street in downtown Mobile, Alabama. The incident resulted in the death of 24-year-old Jatarious "RED" Reives and injuries to nine others, with victims ranging in age from 17 to 57. The injured were transported to local hospitals with injuries ranging from non-life-threatening to severe.
