On October 20, 2023, 35-year-old William "Willie" Burton was fatally shot in Theodore, Alabama, a suburb of Mobile. The incident occurred around 9:27 a.m. on the 7000 block of Smith Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered Burton with a gunshot wound; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
