On March 8, 2015, Alejandra Coronado-Cardona, age 37, was found stabbed to death in the 3300 block of Sherman Avenue, Northwest, Washington, D.C. The incident occurred at approximately 8:11 a.m. when the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to reports of an injured person. Upon arrival, they found Coronado-Cardona suffering from multiple stab wounds, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
