On February 15, 2024, at approximately 3:56 p.m., Mobile Police Department officers responded to a shooting incident in the parking lot at 281 Schillinger Road in Mobile, Alabama. Upon arrival, they discovered 33-year-old Marquis Roper suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the chest. Roper was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
