On a late Friday night in Mobile, Alabama, the sound of gunfire shattered the peace on Lundy Lane. On March 22, 2024, officers from the Mobile Police Department were called to the 9000 block of the residential street around 11:02 p.m. There they discovered a grim scene: two individuals had been shot. Both were rushed to a local hospital, but for 47-year-old Cory Evans, a Black male, the efforts to save him were in vain. He succumbed to his injuries, becoming another life lost to gun violence. ...
