In the predawn hours of September 9, 2024, the quiet of a Lanett, Alabama neighborhood was shattered by the sound of gunfire. Officers from the Lanett Police Department were dispatched to the 1600 block of 21st Street SW at approximately 1:43 a.m. Eastern Time in response to a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered 49-year-old Terrance Antonio 'Pooh' Jeffery suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest.
