On the evening of October 27, 2024, 51-year-old John Blake Burgin Sr. was fatally shot at an apartment complex on Forman Street in Springville, Alabama. Authorities responded to the scene around 9 p.m., where St. Clair County Coroner Dennis Russell pronounced Burgin dead.
