On December 26, 2015, 65-year-old Santos Garcia was found fatally injured in Washington, D.C. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to reports of an incident in the 2900 block of Sherman Avenue NW, where Garcia had been severely assaulted. Despite emergency medical response, Garcia succumbed to his injuries. The nature of the attack and circumstances surrounding it remain under investigation, as the case has yet to be resolved.
