On May 29, 2016, William Arthur Wells Jr., aged 39, was fatally shot in Washington, D.C. The incident occurred at approximately 1:30 AM in the 200 block of 55th Street, NE. Officers from the Metropolitan Police Department responded to reports of gunfire and, upon arriving at the scene, discovered Wells suffering from gunshot wounds.
