On May 3, 2015, James "Jimmy" Gojdics, a 69-year-old outdoorsman and former contestant on National Geographic's "Ultimate Survival Alaska," was found with multiple gunshot wounds at his residence near Fairbanks, Alaska. Alaska State Troopers responded to reports of a shooting at his home on the Old Elliott Highway, where they discovered Gojdics in critical condition.
