On August 7, 2022, in Fairbanks, Alaska, 28-year-old Ricardo James Duperior and 18-year-old Rachel Elizabeth Wright were fatally shot in an apartment located in the Birchwood Homes neighborhood on the city's east side. The Fairbanks Police Department responded to the scene shortly before 2:30 a.m., initiating an investigation into the double homicide.
