On November 7, 2021, 41-year-old Harley Ray Titus was fatally shot outside a Safeway grocery store in Fairbanks, Alaska. Titus had walked to the store from his son's nearby home to pick up a few items. As he exited the store around 6:40 p.m., a man later identified as 41-year-old Joshua Eric Butcher approached him and fired multiple shots at close range, resulting in Titus's death.
