On July 3, 2017, White/Caucasian, 76-year-old Nadya Vehrs, a female from Anchorage, was at the center of a quiet neighborhood emergency that began with a welfare check at a home in the 11000 block of Hillside Drive. Officers first looked in on the residence the evening before and found no one home.
