On July 1, 2024, at approximately 8:00 p.m., 30-year-old Kameron Connell was fatally shot at an apartment complex in the 7700 block of 1st Avenue South in Birmingham, Alabama. East Precinct officers responded to reports of a person shot and discovered Connell lying unresponsive in the parking lot. He was transported to UAB Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
