In May 2024, the disappearance of 30-year-old Alexander City resident Quanisha Davis culminated in a tragic discovery. Reported missing on May 24 after last being seen on May 17, her white 2006 Ford Explorer was located on May 29 in a wooded area off North Loop Road in Dadeville, Alabama. The following morning, authorities found her remains in another wooded area off Herren Street in Dadeville.
