On February 26, 2024, 40-year-old Tamekia Tana Fluker was fatally shot inside her residence on South Main Avenue in Sylacauga, Alabama. At approximately 4 p.m., multiple rounds were fired from the street into her home, with at least one bullet striking Fluker. Responding officers pronounced her dead at the scene.
