In the late afternoon of Monday, February 26, 2024, 40-year-old Tamekia Tana Fluker was inside her home on South Main Avenue in Sylacauga, Alabama, when her life was tragically cut short. Around 4:00 p.m., multiple gunshots were fired from the street into her residence. Struck by at least one of the bullets, Fluker was pronounced dead at the scene by responding officers. Investigators with the Sylacauga Police Department quickly determined that they did not believe Fluker was the intended target ...
