In the late afternoon of Monday, February 26, 2024, 40-year-old Tamekia Tana Fluker was inside her home on South Main Avenue in Sylacauga, Alabama, when her life was tragically cut short. Around 4:00 p.m., multiple gunshots were fired from the street into her residence. Struck by at least one of the bullets, Fluker was pronounced dead at the scene by responding officers.
