On July 18, 2024, in West Blocton, Alabama, 24-year-old Kelse Ely Kendrick was tragically killed alongside four children in a mass shooting incident. The suspect, her husband, 32-year-old Brandon Allan Kendrick Jr., was arrested and charged with five counts of capital murder.
