On November 20, 2023, 45-year-old Deshawn Kahill Murphy was found deceased in his Birmingham, Alabama, residence following a house fire. At approximately 12:15 p.m., Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service and police responded to a blaze at 4328 Willard Avenue S.W.
