On August 24, 2023, at approximately 5:15 a.m., Birmingham Police Department officers responded to a report of a person shot at 115 Walter Davis Drive, the location of Insta Movers. Upon arrival, they discovered 44-year-old Snir "Sonny" Lalum unresponsive in a warehouse bay, suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency medical personnel transported him to UAB Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
