In the late hours of a Wednesday evening in Birmingham, Alabama, a tragic event unfolded that would cut a man's life short. On March 15, 2023, 45-year-old Jonathan Christian Hamff was walking along the shoulder of Interstate 59 south. As he made his way near the Roebuck Parkway exit ramp, he was struck by a vehicle.

The force of the impact proved fatal for Hamff, and he was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 11:19 p.m. The driver of the vehicle that hit him did not stop to rend ...
