On the morning of November 16, 2022, 14-year-old Moriah Quib-Marquez was fatally shot while traveling in an SUV with her family in Birmingham, Alabama. The incident occurred around 8:10 a.m. in the 500 block of 80th Street North. A ShotSpotter alert notified police of multiple gunshots in the area.
