On May 31, 2022, at approximately 1:39 p.m., Birmingham Police Department officers responded to reports of multiple gunshots in the 4200 block of 41st Avenue North, located in the Inglenook community. Upon arrival, officers observed several bullet holes in the front window of a residence at 4232 41st Avenue North. Inside, they found 21-year-old Tarlumi C. Bonner unresponsive on a sofa, suffering from a gunshot wound. Bonner was pronounced deceased at the scene.
