On January 19, 2022, in Helena, Alabama, 40-year-old Sharon Tarwater Whited and her 75-year-old father, Chester E. Tarwater Jr., were found deceased in their home on Piney Woods Drive. The discovery was made by a 12-year-old family member who contacted emergency services upon finding his grandfather unresponsive.
