On a summer day in 2013, the life of 33-year-old African-American woman Janeal Jones was tragically cut short in Wilmington, Delaware. On August 8th, police were called to the 600 block of East 14th Street, where they discovered Ms. Jones's body in a vacant lot. The investigation that followed determined that she had died as a result of stab wounds. It is believed that her fatal injuries were sustained during a fight.
