On September 25, 2021, 26-year-old African American male Jahshua Almond Rogers was fatally shot in Birmingham, Alabama. The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. at a small apartment complex on Dougan Avenue in the Pratt City area. Responding officers found Rogers unresponsive outside a vehicle that had been struck by multiple bullets. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators determined that Rogers had been ambushed and targeted in the shooting.
