On June 23, 2021, at approximately 9:35 p.m., Birmingham Police Department officers responded to reports of shots fired in the 600 block of Earline Circle, an area near Center Point in Birmingham, Alabama. Upon arrival, they discovered 20-year-old Jajuan Marquis Tanniehill suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel from Birmingham Fire and Rescue provided immediate treatment and transported him to UAB Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
