On a summer night in Birmingham, Alabama, the life of 21-year-old Lykeria Briana Taylor was tragically cut short. In the early hours of June 13, 2021, Taylor was a passenger in a vehicle, riding with her boyfriend after they had just departed from a local nightclub. As they traveled near the intersection of Warrior Road and Avenue V, an unknown vehicle pulled up beside them. Gunfire erupted from the other car, shattering the night and striking both Taylor and her companion.
