On June 16, 2021, 27-year-old Jon Paul Mathew Kimber was shot and killed in Fairfield, Alabama, during an alleged carjacking. Authorities discovered Kimber's body on Gary Avenue near 49th Street late that night, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
