On February 12, 2021, 74-year-old Ollie Earl Justice Jr. of Mobile, Alabama, was fatally shot during an altercation in the Holly Pond community. The Cullman County Sheriff's Office reported that Justice, an acquaintance of the victim, visited a residence with the intent to commit robbery. During the confrontation, Justice was mortally wounded, and the resident sustained injuries and was hospitalized.
