In the late hours of a June evening in Birmingham, Alabama, a dispute tragically escalated, leaving one man dead. Stephone Lamar Jemison was found inside a home on Avenue Z in Ensley with gunshot wounds. The incident, which occurred just before 11 p.m. on June 26, 2020, was preceded by a verbal argument.

Emergency services transported Jemison to UAB Hospital, but his injuries proved fatal, and he was pronounced dead. The Birmingham Police Department launched a homicide investigation into ...
