An active-duty Army recruiter based in Montgomery, he had just spent a precious afternoon with his four-year-old daughter, picking her up from school and taking her to gymnastics, a routine filled with the simple joys of fatherhood.
The day took a tragic turn when they arrived at his mother's residence on Killough Springs Road. As Jackson pulled his car into the garage, the familiar space was shattered by the sound of gunfire. He was shot multiple times in a sudden and brutal attack. Despite his grave injuries, he managed to stumble out of the garage and into the house, where he collapsed.
