In the early morning hours of August 22, 2020, a tragic shooting in Hueytown, Alabama, claimed the life of 15-year-old Pharrell Devion Jackson of Bessemer. The incident unfolded around 6:15 a.m. near the intersection of Allison Bonnett Memorial Drive and Rutledge Drive, where Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered a grim scene: a white Crown Victoria riddled with bullets, and inside, four individuals who had sustained gunshot wounds.
Pharrell Devion Jackson, a young male, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other three occupants of the vehicle, a 19-year-old female, a 22-year-old male, and another male, were transported to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries.
