On December 28, 2020, 62-year-old Lea Anne Grant Blanpied was found deceased in her home on the 700 block of Meadows Drive in Irondale, Alabama. Her son, 29-year-old Patrick Hugh Blanpied, called 911 at approximately 1:12 a.m. to report the incident. Upon arrival, officers discovered Lea Anne's body and subsequently arrested Patrick at the scene. He was charged with murder and held in the Jefferson County Jail on a $150,000 bond.
