On July 26, 2019, at approximately 10:49 a.m., Birmingham Police officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 3000 block of 29th Avenue North. Upon arrival, they discovered 35-year-old Isaiah Mathew Wiggins of Muncie, Indiana, unresponsive in the front passenger seat of an SUV, suffering from a gunshot wound. Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel, along with the Jefferson County Coroner, pronounced him deceased at the scene.
