Man found with a gunshot wound inside his home
In the autumn of 1984, concern mounted for 57-year-old Robert Moody when he failed to appear for a scheduled court date. His attorney reached out to a family member, who was hesitant to go to his residence alone. On October 23, 1984, Weld County Sheriff's deputies accompanied his son and son-in-law to his home located at Weld County Road 52 and Highway 85, near LaSalle. Peering through a kitchen window, they made a grim discovery; Robert was lying on the floor.
