Man discovered murdered after meeting with the Mexican Mafia
In late 2003, concern grew for the well-being of Daniel Larson, a 34-year-old male who had been residing in the Loveland, Colorado, area for approximately five years. Originally from Illinois, Larson had been living out of his gray 1990 Pontiac 6000. Communication with his family ceased, prompting them to report him missing to the Larimer County Sheriff's Office. A significant development in the case occurred on December 28, 2003, when Larson's vehicle was discovered abandoned at the Park & Ride located at Interstate 25 and U.S. 34. A group of hunters in a field north of Kersey, in a rural area near Weld County Road 388 and Weld County Road 59, discovered human remains.
