Armando Mata-Magallanes, a 30-year-old man from Denver, Colorado, was reported missing on July 8, 2011, after he failed to return home from work. His last known contact was a phone call to his girlfriend, Brenda De Anda, in which he requested that she sell his truck. During the call, another man took the phone and demanded $30,000 for the truck, promising to call back the next day.
