Arturo Carlos-Carrillo, a 50-year-old man from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, tragically lost his life on March 6, 2011. The circumstances surrounding his death involved a drive-by shooting incident, which occurred in a residential area.
According to reports, Carlos-Carrillo was in a truck with two other individuals, Adrian and Pablo, when they were approached by a gray Honda.
As the Honda pulled up alongside their vehicle, someone from inside yelled 'what's up,' to which Carlos-Carrillo responded. Moments later, gunshots rang out, with witnesses reporting hearing five to six shots fired from the Honda.
During the incident, Carlos-Carrillo sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his lower left body. The autopsy, conducted by Dr. Eugene Carpenter of the Kern County Sheriff's Office, revealed six gunshot wounds consistent with those inflicted by a large caliber handgun. These injuries ultimately proved fatal, leading to Carlos-Carrillo's death at the scene.
Law enforcement responded promptly to the shooting. Officer Christopher Alfors arrived to find Carlos-Carrillo struggling to breathe and unable to respond verbally. Despite efforts to provide aid, the severity of his injuries was too great to overcome. The incident was captured on surveillance video from neighboring homes, which showed muzzle flashes coming from the passenger side of the suspect vehicle.
The loss of Arturo Carlos-Carrillo shocked the community and left his family and friends grieving. The case prompted an intensive investigation by local authorities, who worked to gather evidence and identify those responsible for this senseless act of violence.
