In the late hours of a summer Saturday in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the life of Desmond L. Wilson, a 20-year-old African-American male, was tragically cut short. On July 13, 2013, at approximately 11 p.m., Wilson was shot near the intersection of 29th Street and Auer Avenue. The incident marked another chapter in the city's ongoing struggle with gun violence.
