On a summer evening in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the life of Robert D. McGee, a 26-year-old African-American man, was tragically cut short. On Friday, August 1, 2014, shortly before 9:30 p.m., McGee was shot in the 3000 block of N. 12th Street.
Emergency services responded to the scene, but McGee ultimately succumbed to his injuries. The incident was one of two fatal shootings that occurred on Milwaukee's north side within a few days, prompting a police investigation into both events.
