On an evening in August of 2014, a Milwaukee street became the final scene in the life of Eric Luckett. An African-American man of 33 years, Luckett was on the 800 block of West Burleigh Street just after 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13th, when he was struck by gunfire. The sudden violence shattered the evening's calm, leaving a man fighting for his life.
